Spend a full day surrounded by majestic mountain views, sea otters, bald eagles and puffins, all in the protected waters of Kachemak Bay. An experienced guide will show you how to paddle and lead you to the area's incredible sights as you keep a watch out for whales, sea birds, and other wildlife above and below the surface. No experience necessary; water taxi, guide, hearty lunch and all kayaking equipment is provided.
Flightseeing/Bear Viewing, Katmai National Park
View Alaska's famous salmon-eating brown bears at the world famous Brooks Camp in Katmai National Park. From the safety of the viewing platform, you may see as many as twenty different bears in their natural habitat catching salmon as they leap up the falls to the spawning grounds. Weather permitting, your pilot will take a different route on the return trip allowing you another wonderful view of the wild Alaska landscape.
Ferry/Water Taxi Service
Discover the full majesty of Kachemak bay with a water taxi ride. Take a wildlife tour around Gull Island. Discover hiking trails and kayaking coves. Visit an artist's community and enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner. Or visit the peaceful community of Seldovia.
Pratt Museum
Visit the Kenai Peninsula's only natural history museum, with indoor exhibits focusing on art, natural history, native cultures, homesteading, fishing, marine ecology and the Exxon Valdez oil spill. Additional attractions are Alaskan wildlife dioramas, salt-water aquaria and a fine Museum store. Outdoor exhibits include the historic Harrington homestead cabin with period furnishings, botanical garden, and forest nature trail, enlivened by summer and permanent art installations.
